Acid pickling

Acid pickling is the stage of preparing the steel surface before galvanizing. It involves removing contaminants, oxides, and rust by immersing the steel in an acid solution, most commonly hydrochloric acid. This process is crucial because it provides a clean and active surface, enabling an even and durable bond between the zinc and the steel.
Applying the zinc coating

The zinc coating is applied by immersing the cleaned steel in molten zinc at a temperature of approximately 450°C. This enables a reaction between the metals and the formation of a durable protective layer. As a result of zinc diffusion into the steel structure, alloy layers are formed that provide high corrosion resistance.
